well most Japanese people are Buddhist and Buddhist don't worship anything its not really a religion its more of a philosophy or a way of life. Buddhist try to reach nirvana which the believe will give them an understanding of everything in this world.

buddist timple is the best place. but i bet like me they dont need to be in a church/temple to talk to God/buddah
