why is notredame ranked higher than wisconsin when buckey gave michigan a better game

Because ND started the season ranked higher and the voters are not paying close enough attention.
Head to head I know I would pick Wisconsin to beat ND in a close game and I think most experts would too. It is just the college system.
Actually though it is still possible for Wisconsin to make it to the BCS title game. USC, Florida, Rutgers and ND could all lose one game

because the media caters to the golden domers. I hate ND and hope OSU gets to slaughter them in the championship just like we did last year in the fiesta.
