yeah i heard it's gonna cost 600$ thats a hole lots of money and a big waste of it too.... thats what i think the only good thing about it is the games!! thats iti think the xbox is sucha better brand and the grafics are alot beter cause it's micrsoft wich is what a loyt of compuer softwere is !! what do you have to say about the ps3 is it gonna be better than the xbox 360 or just a waste of money !!?? whats a better system ps3 or xbox360??

Listen to Joey, he makes some very good points (except the part about Halo 3. Halo 2 sucked and I don't have very high hopes for Halo 3)
Graphics are just the beginning. Weather or not blu-ray survives as the next dvd format is irrelevant. The games will be on blu ray regardless. With a capacity of over 50 gb to work with, you can expect much better looking, longer, and content rich games.
The 360 is releasing an add on HD DVD player but it is only for movies. They still have no plans on using either high def format for their games.

It depends on what you want. PS3 will definately have better graphics. That being said you will need a very good TV to actually see a big difference. It can also have much more content in its games because the blu-ray discs hold so much more information on them. Their won't be many games that are exclusive to a system. Right now I am thinking of an XBOX360 for just one real reason. Halo 3. What it will truly come down to is personal preference. I truly believe that $600 is too much for a system. I will wait till I can try one in a store first. Then I'll make my decision on which to get sometime next year. The PS3 has the opportunity to be better than the 360 but I believe that they jumped the gun just slightly with the blu-ray. I do know one thing. Do not count out the Wii. I know it doesn't have the graphics but it does have a very appealing price and is geared more towards younger gamers.

Personally, and this is just my opinion, I think all console systems are a waste of money. In a year or two, another one is gonna come out, all of the games will come out for the new model and all of the games that you've shelled out $50 for are gonna be gathering dust because the new system won't play them. I use a PC for gaming because it's lifespan is 4-5 years and it's backwards compatible with even older games.

I really agree that thing is probley going to be like 1 and 2. I dont think its bad but i think theres lots of other things you could do with 600 dollars. If i just had to have it i would wait till the price went down.
