Well Srinagar in winters are like heaven looks so beautiful, all white & if lucky you might get chance to see Frozen Dal Lake. Temprature out there is freezing usually in ( - degree) at night. You need to carry Heavy Woolen Cloths. Accomodation & dining is not a such problem there are plenty of Hotels & House Boats are there. If you go out in Jan(after 10th) or Feb that is OFF Season out there you can get house boat at very reasonable price in between Rs 600/-to Rs1000/- per 24 Hrs.
About transportation if it is snowfall it might be difficult to reach Srinagar by road, You might have to stay in your car untill road get clear. I think you take Air Deccan Flight from Jammu or Delhi That will be very Cheap if you book early. You can Book it online at "www. airdeccan.net".

cant you think of any other safer place than kashmir...
india is such a big country so go somewhere else...why do you want to invite trouble on your honeymoon...hope that nothing goes wrong if you go there...
