im a new muslim convert ....and im also mixed race, black/white heritage..but why is there so much hate towards muslims..i love the religion and find in facinating!

The religion is quite misunderstood, especially by the fundamentalists that give it a bad name. The religious wars in the Middle East with the terrorists who commit terrible things in the name of Islam contributes mostly to Islam's bad name. The Muslims I've met have always seemed peaceful and kind. But, it seems as though Muslims are the only ones today (most publicized anyway) that do anything warlike in the name of religion.

If you like the religion and find it fascinating then God bless and maybe you should share what you find interesting about it with your fellow people.
The reason Islam has a bad name in some people's eyes is because of the misinformation they get from the mass media.
Without going into the route causes of violence we would never understand the real problems. Islam in all of its sects never propagates violence. But if you believe in the rules of nature you must believe that every action has a reaction and people will act violently if they feel they were wronged and that concept in of itself does not follow any religion or belief.
In the end Islam means peace

I don't hate Muslims. I'm Christian and I have a number of very nice Muslim friends and colleagues.
Why lump the terrorists with other sensible Muslims ?
It's like saying we should hate all Christians because there are cults around claiming to have the truth and correct interpretation of the Bible.

Some people hate me too. And some people will hate you. But the majority love the muslims and find it as facinating as you do. If not, perhaps is because they are innocently confused with their religion or have interests with football instead. Why not?
I have a lot of respect for muslims.

Well there is a a large group of extreme muslims called wahabists that have this nasty little tendancy of trying to kill anyone who disagrees with them. The greater muslim establishment has done little to nothing to curtail this behavior or at the very least comdemn it even verbally.
I don't, personally, hate anyone. But I'm not going out of my way to befriend anyone who doesn't actively seek to end the extreme acts of these fanatics. If you're not part of the solution, you are part of the problem.

i don't hate muslim, i have much friends among them, but they r true muslems and not those who cry and swear that they r righteous muslem but even r not able to say clearly what koran is about. so, moreover i think that islam is a very strong and i would say very fanatic believe, so some ppl use it to control others ppl and comit acts of terrorism...
and, for those ppl who don't know that a muslem=terrorist, that's why...

People hate Muslims because of the extremists in the Middle East. Many people believe that all Muslims are all the same in what they do. Personally, I do not believe this. FYI: I am a Christian.

because most terrorists are muslims,because they have lots of ways they kill & torture there own people.like stoning,beheadings,ive heard women will get female geneital mutilation!
so many things they do are evil imo.
proving they are no peaceful religion,also they dont tolerate other religions.they also kill people who convert from islam.
its an evil religion from the devil imo.
