i have this banquet that im going to this weekend and I have already bought my dress and it is black and the non-see through part comes almost to my knees but theres a glittery see-through part that almost touches the floor and im wondering what kind of shoes should i wear??? (they cant be high heels because my boyfriend is only like 1-2 inches taller than me, so i dont want to be taller than him) any ideas??? HELP ME PLEASE!!!

I would get a nice black pair with pointy toes and a short one inch thin heal. They can be open toed or closed, glittery, shiny, or embellished with rhinestones...so long as it gives the illusion of a high heel. If you go for open, the strappier the shoe the better. There is nothing wrong with you being taller than your boyfriend by the way...a lot of guys think that is really sexy...believe me I am 5'10 and always towered over the guys in school and that didn't seem to detract from the attention I got! LOL
Look at Tom Cruise with Nicole Kidman...and they were THE couple!

i think if you have a dress that is full length, you should go with shoes that are open, anything closed will be covering too much. Maybe you could get something with a kitten heel? You know, just a small heel, they're very cute! Also, coz your dress is black, you could go with a gorgeously bright color of shoe. Take advantage of the see-through bit of your dress to show of really cute shoes. But get something a little different, maybe with an intricate design, a pointed toe or a great texture. It should more than make up for not having heels!

I would go with a black kitten heel. Since there is plenty to look at already with the bottom of the dress being sheer, you don't need to draw attention with a hot pair of shoes. Keep them simple, no ornate decorations. But stay away from flats, they would be too casual with that dress. While I can understand not wanting to be taller than him, it won't hurt if you are about the same height in your low heels.

there are many nice short heals shoes; the ones that are open from the toes; they can be just perfect with your dress; as they are very fashionable.

cute dress. but better to show a picture. pumps never fail. you can get them at a shorter height. you can also try low strappy sexy sandals...
