I was there, and I couldnt believe what I was seeing.
108 yard return on a missed FG?? While the Giants are virtually walking off the field?
They looked like the Fassel Giants again. Wheres the Coughlin discipline?? Wheres the fire they had the last few games??
I hope this isnt a season changing event.......

I was asking myself the same question last night. My God, that was so miserable to watch. I was just cringing the entire time.

The first half was great. Our boys were doing so good defensively, even with all of the injuries. I was really impressed. I'm convinced that something happened in that locker room. We came out for the second half with no gusto, no passion for the game. My grandmother could have played ball better than they did.

That 108 yard return was absolutely horrific to watch. I couldn't believe it. I give credit to the Bears, that was a damn good fake, but oh man. The poor Giants. It was just ...over. I don't think Coughlin should have gone for it. And I also think that next time, there's gonna be someone defensively ready incase that ever looks like it's going to happen again.

Then you have the injuries of the night. Madison is re-hurt. Petitgout is probably out for a while. Tiki hurt his hand. We lost some good players already, now we've lost even more. Tiki wasn't the same, which angered me. They should have put in Jacobs and let Tiki rest, and they should have thrown the ball to Shockey instead of Plax since Plax can hardly catch. Coughlin seems like he barks but he's got no bite.

I don't think this is season changing, but I hope it is a wake up call to the Giants. We're the top of the NFC East. We're tied for second place in the NFC with a bunch of other teams. We need to seriously step it up if we ever want to make the Super Bowl this year. Which I think we should, especially considering that Tiki is retiring.

I think if we lose next week's game, the last night was season changing. We can't afford to lose next week. The team needs to get their confidence back.

First let me start by saying that i am a giants fan. Eli is not even in the same league as his brother. Peyton hits every pass flawlessly. Eli throws to the other team. Eli cant scramble, doesnt see the defense coming, and in my opinion is the worst in the NFL. Second the Giants need a kicker that can kick better than a high school kid if they want to compete at a super bowl level. Eli is just lucky he has Tiki this year. He will show his true colors next year after tiki is gone and then maybe he can go play in Canada or something like that. The Giants should have gotten rid of him last year, He is not growing he makes massive mistakes every game and often gets lucky because the rest of his team picks up the slack. The Giants need to do something, That was not how a team of their calibur should be playing after the 10th week. Instead of paying 9 million to Eli they should get a kicker that can hit from 50 intead of 25. That would put a lot more points on the board.

Three things.

1) Eli Manning needs to get better at standing in the pocket and throwing. He does not yet have that ability to read defenses very well. He also makes bad decisions when hurried, just like the Bears

2) Coaching sucks horribly. Eli has the worst plays when he listens to the O-coordinator and has the best when he reads the defense and makes his own calls. What happened to the Giants defense? They blitzed the Bears quite effectively, then on the 3rd and long plays, they went to the nickel defense, which allowed the Bears to get a first down on 3rd and long nearly every time. That is just bad coaching and bad planning.

3) The Giants have more bad players than good. Tiki is good, Eli is OK and getting better, but they have a special team group that has not one really good player among them. They need to draft players based on need, and not just the best player available each time. The best players for the Giants and the worst have such a huge gap of talent that there are really only 4 or 5 players on the field for the Giants at any given time. The rest are warm bodies and place holders. The need to get an actual TEAM together if they expect to win big games.

I'm not a huge Giants fan, but I kept asking myself that very same question. The returned kick from a miss field goal? Unbelievable!!!! Don't get too upset, now. That's 1 REALLY bad game for the Giants. But look at the rest of their schedule..They have Jacksonville next week, the Titans after that, the Cowboys, the Panthers, the Eagles, the Saints, and then Washington is week 17. There's plenty of time to bounce back and make a strong finish in the playoffs. (If they get to the playoffs.) How about big bro Peyton? He barely got it done against the Bills, but undefeated is undefeated!! GO COLTS!!!!

It could be a season changing event.....but I think it will be one that gets them to recommitt to focus and discipline. If the Giants go far into the playoffs (which I hope not because I am a Cowboys fan) I think you can point to this play and say that it changed their season (for the better).

too many injuries...its hard to mesh and play as a unit when you have to keep putting backups in and only have a week to try to form a tight unit...i think they will ultimately be fine..this week against the jags is a huge game...a must win..if we win this week, we have tenn the week after which i believe we should win hands down...then its the home stretch with a record 9-3 and winning 2 of the next 4 will be good enough for a playoff spot i think

As a fellow Giants fan, it pains me to say this, but they just aren't as good as the Bears.

Yes, they made a couple boneheaded mistakes. But the bottom line is Eli is still growing, and it's really tough to lose your number one receiver (Amani Toomer) for the year, both pro-bowl defensive ends, both inside linebackers, one of your corners midway through the game (and his replacement got burned all over the field), arguably your best offensive lineman (Luke Pettigout - possibly for the year), and still expect to beat a team with the NFC's best record.

The Giants can play with them if all of those people are healthy. But they aren't, and without them, they're not nearly as good.

The friggin' wheels are flying off the Giants season. I can't believe they lost last night. I'm glad they did but I still can't believe it.
