why can't he work? I know why, because he gets more signing on doesn't he? Im fed up with paying my taxes from a fairly low paid job, to support the likes of u. I don't earn a lot and struggle monthly to pay everything, only to pay extortionate council tax and rent. I wish i had no self respect sometimes Id go scrounge too! it really makes my blood boil. If u sign on u get everything - from free perscriptions to no council tax and dirt cheap rent, surestart maternity grants of £500, handouts all over the place, and u still want more! I work and get bugger all!!!!

mum_to_man = Rubbish there are jobs there if u can get off your bone idle butt to find one, even if its labouring on a building site!! I tell u why people won't do that, its because they earn more from signing on and its not worth their time and effort, thats why!

So go seek a job if you get allowance for it. Why can't your boyfriend work? Terminal laziness? Is it his kid? If so he's obviously not so incapacitated that he can't get his end away. Failing all else keep your legs crossed and stop bringing kids into this world which you can't support for yourselves. I'm fed up with paying for them.

you need to go to the council or the job center i know you should be getting free milk and you will be getting a £500 pound sure start grant and im sure you will receive a higher job seekers allowance cause your pregnant and when the babies here you will get child benefit and family tax credit you need to sort it out soon cause theses things can take weeks! and as for people saying you are a scrounger just ignore them what do they know if you need it then you need it i would prefer my taxes spent on a baby! good luck to you chick and congrats get down to the jobs center they will sort you out x

You get wellfare or WIC. But then again those things are possible because they squeeze the heck out of us decent citizens on taxes. So, since we have to support people like you anyway, I decided to take advantage on WIC when I was pregnant. I didn't have to lie and I qualified for it. After all they squeeze it out of my taxes anyway. Tell your excuse of a boyfriend to go get a job, ok?

visit your local citizens advice bureau (CAB) for impartial advice.
you can find them in your local telephone book or at the information board at your library.

you won't be entitled to job seekers allowance as you won't be able to actively seek a job at the moment.

if he can get your man to get a job and support you and the baby, i'm sure he could earn more than you'll get on benefits.

Tell him to get his lazy ar+e out of bed and get a job and support you and himself. What if EVERYBODY decided they cant be arsed to go to work. Where do you think this money is coming from.

You dont - you tell him to get up off his lazy backside and go get a job like every other decent father would. I suspect you're only telling us this to get a reaction anyway - in which case grow up !!!!!
