I have been told that I should write a book about my life at least 500 times , so I am looking into what I have to do to start the process.

The question begs another question.
Why not write it yourself? It is your life. You know it best.

Ok, I can do this, but you have to pay me and then if it gets pubbed I want royalties. I really am serious.
See it gets complicated. A person can jump up and tell you they will do it but are they qualified to? Not only that, is the story going to be good enough to be published? I would want money up front for that very reason. Then, if I write it will you like what I've done? Each writer has a style and that will come out everytime and may not be what you are looking for.
You could write it yourself and why not? Tons of free info on the net to get you started.

What you might need is a good "secretary" with excellent writing skills to record your life. You can post an ad at a college for someone to transcribe your recordings. These recordings you can do in a cheap home recorder.

Put an ad on Craigslist- www.craigslist.com. I see ads for that sometimes on there, in the writing/editing section. The site is free, but you probably won't find anyone to do the work without payment.
