thanks for your thoughts KIMISLAND, but a simple yes or no would have done!not to be glib, but as with most things in life, its what you make of it,in my home its a time for family to get together . i do not allow it to be over commercialised for example i wont buy cards with disney characters wearing red hats etc as this has nothing to do with christmas.i know that 25 dec is not the date of christs birth, but it was chosen as a day to mark the occasion as presumably there is no way of knowing the true date

I am looking forward to it because of my little boy. He is so excited about it! He will be 3 next week, so he is at that age where everything is exciting, and just to see the magic in his eyes. I can't wait- at all!
Not offended...however, you are right! :)

I like Christmas. The colours, the lights, the food! I enjoy giving and of course receiving. I'm looking forward to it. I'm also looking forward to it being OVER! I work retail and the only thing I do not like about the holidays is that people get so nasty when they have to wait, it boggles the mind. It's like a mad house at the store right now. I can really breathe again when it's finally over. Well, Merry Christmas everyone! Cheers!

I'm deeply offended.Ha Ha
Well, someone will be, it seems to be 'the new black' on here.
I love christmas, i just don't get all the miserable people who moan it's going to cost a fortune or it's too commercialised.
If Christmas costs you too much then your incredibly stupid, you should only spend what you have and if your children don't appreciate what you have given them, then your also at fault for bringing up such spoilt children.
Christmas is what you make it, many years ago me and a long term girlfriend bought a house and we were really struggling for money and just saw the whole idea of spending hundreds on each other pointless.
We set each other a limit of just £20 and i was amazed in what we managed to get each other, it made no diffrence to the day in any way and in fact you had to put much more thought in what you bought because of the limitations.
My only bug this time of year is with the all Christians going on and on, trust them to try and bring religion into everything.

I daresay few should be offended! Hopefully..... it's not like Christmas is much to do with Jesus nowadays anyway! Shame really! But it's all SANTA this and SANTA that!!!
Totally looking forward to it though! I've shifted jobs now and for the first time in YEARS I get to have Christmas Eve off and enjoy some time getting in the spirit of things!!!

Oooh I love Christmas.
I love the happiness it brings people, the amount of alcohol I'll be drinking, buying presents, having some time off, the snow, parties, cheesy christmas songs, christmas tv and most of all being able to stuff my face and not feel guilty.

Christmass is always coming but I think I would enjoy it more if people started to notice it nearer the time rath than it start in october. Then we could all be exited, jolly and happy insted of board of all its long and continuose hype. Sorry any christmass lovers but I really do think it would be better if they held back a couple of months.
N.B

I am, because I am taking the kids home to Scotland for a proper, cold Christmas - right now, I live in Brunei (Borneo) which is hot, jungly and full of mosquitoes - not the most Christmassy place ever!
