I have to do a project for chemistry and im stuck, i would really appreciate some help

Well I can not think of one single thing that has anything to do with sodium politically.

But commercially they make sodium hydroxide from it and also drain uncloggers like Drano. Yes it is true that most of the NaOH in the world is made by an electrlysis reaction but some is made by just adding sodium to water.

Plus the manufacturing of chemicals for chemical suppliers to schools all around the country.

The economy certainly benifits from thousands of schools buying the products that sodium has made and also some schools chemistry departments actually buy sodium metal as a demo or just to show what it looks like.

Sodium metal was also featured in a recent episode of CSI: Las Vegas as a weapon. I don't know if that has anything to do with what you need but it would be something neat to throw into your project if you can figure out how to incorporate it. lol
