uh...perhaps you need to look up the definition of bipolar. cause honey...that's part of the illness.

there are two types. bipolar type 1 and bipolar type 2.

Bipolar Disorder Type I. Bipolar disorder type I is characterized by at least one manic episode, with or without major depression. With mania, either euphoria or irritability may mark the phase, and there are significant negative effects (such as sexual recklessness, excessive impulse shopping, sudden traveling) on a patients' social life, work, or both. Untreated mania lasts at least a week or results in hospitalization. Typically, depressive episodes tend to last six to 12 months if untreated. However, untreated manic episodes last three to six months.

Bipolar Disorder Type II. Bipolar disorder type II is characterized by at least one episode of hypomania and at least one episode of major depression. With hypomania the symptoms of mania (euphoria or irritability) appear in milder forms and are of shorter duration. They do not affect social or work life as dramatically, and hospitalization is not generally required.

my advise....date mentally stable women!

Actually there are more types of bipolar than 1 and 2, theres also a very common one called "cyclotimia". The person has the illness but it shows only on certain periods of time and in certain situations. Bipolars are difficult to spot because most people can confuse them with just a very happy fellows.

Look for these signs:

1. Unusual sex drive, multiple sex partners. They need a lot of sex.

2. Into a lot of activities. Most of them very weird.

3. Sleeping issues. Either they don't sleep well or sleep too much.

4. Bipolar episodes. Look for "Exorcist" types of behavior, like yelling for no reason or for the silliest things

5. Heavy drinking. Sometimes also drugs.

6. Job problems or job quitting for the silliest things.

7. Depression signs.

8. Disposable relationships

9. Sometimes (women specially) can dress all fine but the place is a mess. Often they look like **** when depressed.

10. Mommy, daddy issues.

11. they spend a lot of money on stuff they don't need.

12. Often they are into "new age", kabbalah, witchcraft, ouija, spiritism, santeria or hokey religions.

13. Clinical history of depression.

14. In women if they are divorced and with a clinical history on depression there is almost 60% chance they develop bipolarity before 40 year old.

This is just a partial list. If she's just a friend my advice is to run far, far away from the gal. You cannot win on this one. No matter how hard you try, you will lose time and will be deeply hurted. Sure bipolars can fall in love, but they act very weird. They are manipulative people. The only way you can work things with a bipolar is when they are on treatment and they are following medical advice.

It is part of the sickness of bipolar. I have struggled with it all my life. I have ruined marriages, friendships, family. Everything that means something to me. How to describe my illness is like watching from above as this puppet plays my life. You really don't know what is real and what isn't. Also with a history of sexual and physical abuse to add on it gets alot worse. Added into the mix of bipolar you get the trama of being stuck at the age that the abuse started. To me anyway I learned to be an adult by watching others and well.... acting. You don't feel real it's a very odd feeling.
Most people with bipolar attack the one's that care the most and love them the most.

The best advice I can give you is to go to your local mental health or go online and research bipolar and learn.

Good Luck

Thats got nothing to do with Bipolar. Bipolar is an illness. Sounds like you just got a woman that is a user. Not the same thing.

Sounds like that has nothing whatsoever to do with bipolar disorder. Sure, my bipolar has caused no end of hurt to the ones I love, but not in the way you describe.

Sounds like she has other issues, not bipolar.

They are confused by their programmed brainwashed eternal damnation worship conflicting in a loop pattern with One God worship. See the two cannot coexist. Either there is One God that is everywhere and cannot be separated from or there are more than One God, but most religious teachings say there is one and then tell you that you can somehow separate from that God for eternity for your sins or for not swearing that Jesus or one of their leaders is equal to God and you are not. Oft times psychological difficulties come into play in our world because a woman or person has experienced a less than desireable childhood mixed with these confusing teachings about God and the subconscious mind does a computer loop pattern until the conscious mind takes breaks or reliefs and exhibits unresonable behaviors such as bipolar or schizophrenia etc. So if you want to help, you would have to have a lifetime commitment to teaching her that she is special and that those boogey religious values that she learned are bogus. You would have to show her by your example of treatment, actions and words that you live up to your understanding too. It may be a battle that you are not prepared to live through. It takes a special person and most of society will torture you all the time you are going through this path. But it will make you an interesting life to say the least. Often these bipolar types are the warmest people in their moments of conscious passion.

Because she is bipolar. See it as killer mood swings. Tell her to get on some meds and see a phychiatrist. Give her a break until then. She can't help it. I thought I was the only adult that said poo, btw. ha ha.
