You can go to Wal Mart and get a frozen Jenny-O turkey. Its in a box. It cooks up really good. It isnt very big. I have a family of 5 and we dont have much left over the next day. If thats not something yall like, fix your favorite dinner. Look for recipes online and go from there. It doesnt always have to be about the turkey..good luck and happy cooking

Minimize everything and cook as if you were cooking for 40, but now you are cooking for two. Buy a small turkey, stuff it, and know you will have leftovers, but that is the best part of having turkey! Make mashed potatoes by boiling three instead of a dozen, and so forth. It can be done, and a quick note . . . . . when cooking your turkey, there are Reynolds plastic cooking bags that are a saving grace so when you place your turkey inside the bag and put it in the oven, it base itself, they are too marvelous!

My husband and I always cook a full-sized turkey so we'll have leftovers to eat for a week.
You could get a capon (large chicken) or get cornish hens (quite small) and cook the other traditional foods.
My family sometimes has a ham, since some of them don't like turkey.

I'm cooking for just myself and daughter. Planning the whole thing with a big bird....because you can freeze the leftover turkey and make a lot of meals later. Look online for a White Chili recipe that is delicous and uses turkey or chicken in it.

don't buy a whole turkey just get the turkey breast, then again how do you know people won't drop by, and you know you want the left over turkey sandwich on Friday. Oh, forget it, just go all out. But only make 1 dessert. 1 cake, 1 pumpkin pie, 1pecan pie,1 batch of cookies, 1 kind of candy, etc... I'm kidding about dessert but not about people popping in. Make your favorites.

I really like the Jenni-o turkey-loaf things; then you can have turkey, stuffing, and all the fixings with little left overs.

OR

Cook a small ham, and with plenty of rolls, you can have neat little snacky sandwiches.

I CAN MAKE A SUGGESTION.

YOU CAN GET A TURKEY BREAST OR ONE OF THE JENNY-O TURKEY ROASTS. A BOX OF STOVE TOP STUFFING AND JAZZ IT UP. A COUPLE OF EARS OF CORN AND SWEET POTATOES. THEN A PIE EITHER PUMPKIN OR SWEET POTATO.
