You could get Poet's Market, it lists a lot publishers that publishes different types of poetry. It would be a very wise investment. It also lists poetry contests and valuable information for a poet. Such as writing query letters. These are letters that you send to publishers that introduces yourself, and your style of poetry.

Try printing out samples of your poetic style on postcards, coffee mugs, refrigerator magnets. Distribute these items to Chamber of Commerce. Let them do as they wish with them. It's a marketing strategy.

You could also research self-publishing, and your book would be printed every time an order comes in.(You would need to market your book)

Try sending your poetry to your local newspaper, and entering local contests.

Join a poetry group, and recite your poems in front of an audience.

Poetry.com is a SCAM. They will tell you your poem is the best just to get to pay for reward. And they say they will publish a poem in a book. But the book is only available through the website and it is not in stores (no one will buy it).

Because the other person suggested poetry.com I just want to warn you that they spam the hell out of you sometimes, and always send things like "your poems been voted number 1" and stuff to get you to buy their books.

craigslist.com in the writing gigs section is good, you may even get paid!

Join or start a poetry workshop with likeminded people, I write, not poetry I tried that and found it easier to write a story, maybe get your work independantly printed and published. It's not easy, I wish you lots of luck. Keep writing.

www.poetry.com
it'll give you emails on conventions (where you can go to listen AND read) and publish all your poems in (a) book(s) along with other writers. It's really great!

I don't know but..........

I wandered lonely as a cloud,
my buttocks I then parted
and felt a wind between my legs
and realised I had farted.:-)
