He needs to hire an attorney and one that will not hesitate to go after her in court.

Just because she is saying that he "beat" her, doesn't necessarily mean that she is going to be believed. Are there any police reports that have been filed? Does she have any eye witnesses? Has she ever been to the hospital for injuries?

Your son needs to get as many character witnesses as he can. People who can either go to court with him, or provide a written statement attesting to his good character.

Anyone who has first-hand knowledge of her being "bad news" would also be helpful. Get as much documented information as you can before you go to court.

If you can afford it, an attorney is always a good idea but sometimes they are just too expensive.

Our son recently filed for divorce and things have turned "nasty". His wife also accused him of things that weren't true hoping to get sole custody of their son. He got written statements from us, as well as our family (he lives across the country) to take to court. His employer and friends attended the hearing to provide character witnesses. Fortunately, the judge believed him and things worked out.

I wish your son all the best, don't think that no one will believe him just because he's a "man"!

I think its good idea to broke up rather than putting up. A girl of her caliber is trouble maker, can she prove your son beats her up? is there a medical records to justify it, if not then your son can defend himself. Don't cry over a spilled milk he's better off without the wife.

Why is she saying this? If she is vengeful, your son needs to get a good attorney. Are there any police reports or hospital records that could back up her story? If not, it will be very difficult for her to prove.

having gone through a divorce from hell because my x accused me of beating her, i can give this advice. have him contact the local police and get a copy of his criminal record. they will be willing to supply it to verify there has been no charges laid. contact the family Dr and ask for a letter saying that no abuse has every been reported to his office, this will go a long way in helping him in court. also have him get letters from people she has talked to claiming this, and have him file a separate suit for public slander. and have copies of that suit put in with the divorce affidavit

For anyone, the dictum applies:NATURE and NURTURE.We could find many GOOD-plus in one who looks bad to the outer world and the converse also is usual. Both of them- the girl and the boy-may have strengths and weaknesses.A professional might be able to sort out the issues and help in arriving at sound decisions.
