Money can certainly help, it makes life much easier if you can pay your bills and not wonder where your next meals is coming from. I think people with lots of money that are unhappy would have been unhappy anyway, regardless of money you need to feel fulfilled, in your work in your relationships. If you have money you are more likely to question peoples motives and hence become reclusive and alone...if I had a lot of money I would volunteer for charities, meals on wheels and the like to remind me daily how lucky I was to have what I did. Happiness comes from within but its what we put out that is reflected and has people make judgments about us.

No....I don't think so.....because money are there from the very beginning of the commencement of the communication of the world and people used to happy by sheer and proper use of money for apt purposes. It is another matter that more than necessary money have caused a definite kind of ups and downs in concerned lives......but otherwise lots of money does make the proper thinker to think for the betterment of society. Take examples of Rockefeller, Nobel, Tata, Birla, or recent Gates, Premji, Narayan Murthi....these persons have accumulated tremendous figures in money.....but it had not made them unhappy......on the contrary they utilized those "lots" of money for useful purposes with the common men.

I belive that saying that a lot of money can make a person unhappy is poor peoples way to make themselves feel better about being poor and rich peoples way to make themselves feel better about all the money they have.
Think of it this way: Think of all the pepole who you have more moey and better cars then that you are friends with though you are not rich you are better off.
Do you have more problems are you more unhappy. ERgo your answer

I think if a person had a lot of money then they wouldn't want or desire things. If we don't have a lot of money then we can strive to reach our goals. We live to want and desire. What good is that if we had the money to go out and just get what we want?

"Can" is the operative word. A lot of things can happen, but whether you allow it to do so or not is the key factor
