I decided to download the 30 day trial of Norton from Yahoo on Friday. Well, I downloaded it, ran it and it found one virus. I got rid of the virus, and now my computer is acting insane! Well, the browsers are being insane. I took Norton off and put McAfee back on, but my browsers, both IE 7 and Firefox 2 don't show pictures on webpages. I have checked all settings (have allowed pics) and I am not sure what to do next besides throwing it out the nearest window. Can anyone help???

Well, first of all, you can't run both Norton and McAfee, or any other two antivirus programs at the same time. You should uninstall both. And why are you running both IE7 and Firefox? You don't need two browsers, either. No wonder your computer won't run, you have it so loaded with junk. Either run IE7 or run Firefox - pick one and uninstall the other.

You also have spyware and adware. After you get this other junk uninstalled and have restarted your computer, download Ad-Aware SE Personal (free for home use), and SpyBot or some other good spyware program. Run them and clean up your hard drive.

I suggest either AVG or Avast! as free antivirus programs. Both are very good, and both update daily, or every other day. Keeping your antivirus program up to date and running it frequently, along with the adware and spyware programs will keep the computer running. Good Luck!
