You're better off wearing a sheer tone that matches your legs, may be just a hint darker, but it's still better than bare.
Pantyhose looks classier and guys really do dig it. You'll notice that most of the objection is coming from other ladies

RE:

Do wear pantyhose. Besides the warmth, it gives an extra classy "finished" look to your outfit. Do be sure to get "sandal toe" style versus "reinforced toe" so it's not conspicuous.
Despite so many people saying what a taboo it is, it makes so much more sense on a "class" level to go the extra step with the hose to complete the outfit. However, if you want to make that happy medium where fishnets are seen by the otherwise nay-sayers as an acceptable form of hosiery to wear with open-toe shoes, then a pair of sheer nude pantyhose underneath the fishnets is a wonderful option. It serves as extra warmth (the hose/fishnet combo is cozy), it keeps your toes from poking through the fishnet, and it keeps the open weave of the fishnet from giving you "waffle-butt" when it all comes off.

I agree. Black and silver hose is not the way to go in sandals.
I would wear a nude hose so it won't look like you are wearing anything on your feet with the sandals.
They specifically make the sandal foot hose to be worn with sandals. So you can wear hose with sandals, but I just don't like the look of colored hose with them. But if you do, then wear it. You should never let others dictate your fashion style.

Opaque tights worn with peep toes is the only time this combo works,in my opinion. If you think you will be cold you could wear Spanx (footless pantyhose) under your gown.Your legs will be covered and the sandals will look much more attractive!
There is no point in wearing a glamorous dress only to have everyone who looks at you distracted by your footwear!
Hope this helps.

You can wear pantyhose with anything you want to wear them with. Don't worry about 'fashion' - wear what you want to wear and what makes you feel the most comfortable. I wear hosiery with sandals all the time - and I've still not been arrested. Why let 'fashion' dictate you out of comfort and style?

Yes you can and is becoming more of trend than in the recent past.
The new trend with sandals is the pin-up hosiery look
whereas Vintage RHT nylonstockings or Full fashion stockings are worn with sandal.

It's not prohibited. That is why the pantyhose makers have a style with a sandal foot and sheer toe made especially for open-toed shoes. I think it's very sexy to see women's toes covered in nylons.

If you find a pair of really fine-net fishnets, that's okay to wear with sandals. (Wolford makes a good one.) This season, more people are wearing opaque tights with sandals or open-toed shoes (look at any current fashion mag). But don't wear sheer nude or sheer black hose, especially if they have a reinforced toe.
