yes, the cd writer software will create an image of the cd which will store temporarily in your hard drive and then ask you to insert a blank cd to copy the data.
I cant be more specific on the exact steps you need to take since you dont tell us which program you are using, but most programs have a special option for doing this.

Your computer should have come with a CD burning program (such as Nero or Roxio). If you run the program, it will have a "Copy CD" option. Put the original CD into the computer and click the Copy CD option. It will copy what it needs to your hard drive, and then ask you to insert the blank CD. After it has copied the files to the blank CD, it will remove them from your hard drive. It is simple to do.
Hope your grandson enjoys the game. My six year old grandson can outdo me on too many computer related things. (And I work with computers for a living). It is good to get them started early...

You can use the copy CD option. First insert the CD to be copied and select Copy Cd to another CD option, It will ask you to insert the new CD acter taking the data in the memory. Now Insert a new disc and it will autom\atically copied. I can give you a link that deals with hard drive problems. Some RAM/ hard drive problems can be easily fixed yourself by using easily available tools. I found the info at http://fixit.in useful

Did you reproduction the entire music, or only the shortcut on your pc. in case you proper click the document you may verify this. once you've effectively transfered the document on your pc, once you set a sparkling disc contained in the CD Burner then this technique you make the most of could straight away arise and then you will be able to go through your files to opt for the music you want to burn.

No..No... It is not like that. It burns directly into the CD. If you have software that can burn CD, collect your grandson CD and put it into your PC then click on Copy from that CD Burning software and follow the on screen instructions till it will ask you to insert new CD inorder to burn your own copy. By that time it will ask you to remove your grandson CD and put new CD. Very simple if you have that software and follow the onscreen instructions.

You Just have to Choose your CD-RW dirve as both Source and Destination drives in your buner software. The process of copying the disk into your hard drive and back to a blank disk will be done automatically.
At first the burner ask you for the sourse disk and after reding it completely it will ask for a blank disk to burn it on.
It's just easy.

You'll need to copy the (original) CD contents to your hard disk, then burn the (new) CD from the data you have stored on your hard disk.
