The Ouija Board...Have your heard anything about the dangers of using one? I have heard of a few things, evil, concerning this. ( I do NOT use one, and never would) I just want to know your experiences or thoughts about this, possibly as a warning to others who think it's just a game.

to "fs" I'm not scared of a board game... to some it;s just a game....but....what I am asking is how others feel about it...and as for me, it's because of the evil that can possibly be contacted thru it...

I guess it really depends on your beliefs. I have heard stories about them doing weird things like putting themselves away if you leave them out. Well I owned one as a kid, and left it out several times on purpose just to give it a chance to put itself away. It never did! Probably because I never took it seriously.

The problem with using one is that you never really know who you'll be speaking with. Spirits can be tricky. If your dead loved one have to speak with you, they'll do it another way, not through an Ouija Board.

The trouble is people are playing with the unknown. Whether stories are true or not depends on the experiences of those playing and no I chose not to explore this avenue and I know if I was to be disturbed from my eternal rest I would be extremely angry...Seriously, People search for answers for many reasons and if they find peace that's OK the truth is I personally think its generally a sham that takes advantage of people in the midst of their sorrow. Mind you I do believe in Karma, what goes around comes around even if you have to wait a while!

Hehe, there were 2 times I found one to be dangerous...

One time, I was at a friend's birthday party, we were down in the furnished basement playing it by candlelight, we eventually asked the spirit to send us a sign... nothing happened... we again asked the spirit to send us a sign... and the smoke detectors went off! We all started screaming and the mix of our screams and the smoke detector woke up her father who came down to see what all the commotion was... he wasn't exactly pleased.

The second time, I was at girl scout camp in one of those platform tents with a few friends. We were asking the "spirits" all kinds of questions when we started hearing & feeling thumps against the bottom of the tent platform. 2 of us ran out of the tent to the middle area of the campground, the other 3 of us huddled together grabbing onto each other and screaming... We woke up pretty much everyone in the entire campground and subsequently found out that it was our troop leader, laying on the ground, hitting the bottom of the platform with her sneakers!
What a joker! We sure had some fun!

:)

My friend told me about these girls that used a Quija board in Springs Georgia one night at a camp out. The next day the girls never reported back home and a search party was sent out. They were never found, but the Quijas board was still in the place where they played it beforte they dissapeared.

Its dangerous in so far it makes people psycologically believe they can communicate with the dead and leaves them in a very wierd, unstable mental state as regards the experience. There are believers who will tell you its dangerous, that you're playing with the spirits and you'll unlock the door to all sorts of wierd experiences. Personally I think its a load of codswallop and you get out of it what you want to. Of course if you believe in something so badly you'll see or hear what you want to, that doesnt nessecarily make it real.
