I recently found myself living with my sister, her kids and 7 animals. It was unbearable and my boyfriend said that I could move in with him. I packed up my car and cats and drove the 1000 miles to his apartment. I still felt out of place and have been looking for a new job.
He is only separated and said that he wants to make his family whole again. He has been going to his house frequently and spends the night. He dropped his daughter off at a friends, had dinner with me and then spent the night at home. Then he offered to get off work early to spend time with me today.
Last night I told him a story about a man who gave me a hard time and said that if something happened to me he wouldn't know about it for a few days. He was upset. I asked if I should just pack up and leave and he said no. Then I asked "what am I to you?" and he said "I'm still trying to figure it out.". Then he said he wanted to sleep and we could talk later.
So, what am I to him?

I hate to say it and don't mean to sound mean about it. I think you are his back up plan if things don't work out with his wife.
Which means if he does work out things with her, you are out in the cold without him
While things are hard for you financially right now but you deserve someone better.

If he has told you he wants his family back then why are you still there?? He is trying to mend things with hid wife honey. You are going to have to wake up and leave before he rips the rug right out from under you. The fact that he spends the night with her is a very good hint that its working to. He may tell you he has feeling for you but he is simply waiting for something better to happen with his wife then hes gone. Pack up and go back home.

You are a piece of entertainment to him, why is he spending nights at his house if he wants to start something with you. he probably has st gotten over is past life, could still want to get back and in the mean time you are being used.
I am sure you are worth much more than what you r getting from him.
After you get your job move out of his flat and his life so he can remain with his indecisions.

You know if someone asked you the same question as this you would probably say "LEAVE".Are you really that lonely and low self esteemed that you want to be this mans back stop.Go out and have a great time and you will get over him sooner than you think.

Seems to me like he felt sorry for your situation so he suggested that you move in with him. But if he is spending his nights and most of his time with his family..
I think you know the answer but you don't want to face it and he knows but he doesn't want to hurt you . He wants to get back with his family and he is only trying to help. I don't think there is any future for the two of you

well if he doesn't want you to go, obviously you are something to him. the man is going through a divorce, so give him a chance to get everything sorted out. but i can guarantee, if you stand by him in this hard time, he will respect and love you more in the end.
