Sugar cane juice, in the time of the classes, collectively as the infants are so thirsty. upload a tinge of unpolluted lime and ginger. the lecturers could additionally variety some, interior the staff rooms! Very yum, too. grant it a attempt. Saves one from dehydration, too. interior the warmth, sunny, tropical forests, there are a number of small faculties suitable here, the area the college administrations are treating the infants and team for this reason, and such moments are very lots savored. The attendance at school is extremely lots better, and so is the self-discipline! Undisciplined youthful infants don't get their glass for the day.

Not the cane, however, I do think teachers should be given the power to actually inflict some kind of punishment on persistent badly behaved kids. At the moment, they have no power whatsoever which means the kids can just get away with murder.
Parents should be re-educated in the art of child rearing first and being forced to teach their children respect, that might help more.

Not just in schools. We know young thugs now see going to prison as a rite of passage, and hope to get ASBOs. However a few hard whacks across their tender backsides would make them think twice before engaging in illegal or anti-social behaviour. Lord Ferrers tried to bring it back in the 1960s; I'm not sure if there has been any discussion since but no doubt it would be a popular move.

No. For the simple reason that most of those doing the caning get their rocks off doing it as the Head of my own school did.

No, although more support for teachers in the classroom would be beneficial - especially from parents.
Could be worse, we could be in the American system (check your AK47 at the door.).
