alligators have a frog rounded shaped mouth and live in fresh water most of the time. Have been seen in salt water.
Croc's have a long snout. And Usually reside in salt water.

Some croc species are smaller than gators and some larger, so that's not a distinguishing feature.
The first upper premolar protrudes over the lower jaw with crocs.
Also crocodile snouts are sharper while alligator snouts are more rounded.
Interesting fact: In Africa more people are killed by hippos (grass eating) than by crocodiles (meat eating).

Crocidiles seem to have angular snouts, while alligators seem to have rounded. Check out some pictures online for further research.

Crocs are much bigger than alligators and they have wider heads and there extremely bloody scary buggers who eat people and pretty much anything they can get their teeth around :-(

i think crocodiles have teeth that portrude out of their mouths on their lower jaws...
