Can you go to the doctor? It could be an infection and he or she can also do a pregnancy blood test which is very accurate.
Otherwise, take another pregnancy test in a few days. Make sure you get one of those ones that say they can detect pregnancy early in your cycle.

If your very early in pregnancy sometimes the pregnancy hormone isnt strong enough to detect. If your normally right on time and your a week or so late than go to your doc and do a blood test. But other things can make it late, too.

if you're period isn't coming on you may be stressed out or either your period wants to skip months, you may be over weight. if you are not either then you need to see a doctor. if the pregnancy test said you weren't pregnant(according to when you took the test) I suggest you take another just in case the same thing happened to my sister and she just gave birth to a beautiful baby girl 4 weeks ago!

You need to see your GP. You could do another test first, but hey are very accurate - 99.9%.
It may be something else affecting your menstrual cycle like stress, illnes, virus etc....
