The Tories in general are the best thing that has ever happened to Britian.
Tony Blair has become too much of a puppet of Bush.

When you say "us", who do you mean?
If "we" are management consultants, on whom his government has increased spending from £200m in 1996 to over £2.2bn annually, I'd have to agree with you.
If "we" are the building companies set to make billions from PFIs, you're probably right.
If "we" are the IT companies set to earn over £12bn from a woefully mis-managed NHS systems implementation, it's hard to argue.
And if "we" are close friends and allies of Tony Blair - former flatmates made Lord Chancellor, tennis partners given licence to trade honours for financial backing, deputies backed through scandal heaped upon tacky scandal, life peers created like they're going out of fashion (but without any realistic chance, sadly, that they are), or Rupert Murdoch - then of course you're quite right.
But if "we" are students, or NHS patients, or pensioners who have put money aside for our old age, or anyone who has to pay council tax, or the English who have been deprived of our constitutional equality, or an innocent Iraqi civilian counted (or more accurately not counted) among the "collateral damage" of George & Tony's war, then no, I'd have to say you're absolutely wrong.

Curious to know why?
Why not:
1. Loans for peerages. He'll get off, but in my opion people gave money to Mr Blair, and got a seat in the Lords.
2. Paying for University I was one of the last not to have to pay tuition fees, how can kids afford it today?
3. War in Iraq. Do you believe that anyone in Iraq sits there and thinks, "That Tony Blair, what a nice chap?".
4. The NHS. Eh? Where have my taxes gone?? Why are they sacking people, and closing beds??
5. Its cold today. I blame him for this too.

do not blame u.s. or Obama blame the monetary employer of england. that is permitting British monetary coverage to be dictated to by the Federal Reserve. JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Deutche monetary employer, credit Suisse, UBS, Morgan Stanly, Merril Lynch, Barclays, HSBC and many extra are taken their cues from Washington. they're the money residences and the monetary employer of england has shown no backbone in breaking with the Feds line. It prints extra sterling and the funding Bankers speculate and commerce. all the even as uk monetary device contracts.

In some ways I do agree to a certain extent because the goverment have made further and higher education accessable for people of a more mature age, or who don't come from a certain social class etc. However I don't completely agree but I think that he has more political power than previous PM's which gives the perception that he is more competent. If you listen to a slice of the population then you will see that they are disillusioned, me being one of them.

Let me think about that for a nanosecond!
No! He is only acceptable because of the lack of alternative. We live in an age of political pygmies. Blair is the evil of several lessers!

I don't know if he's the best thing, but it's hard to imagine us without him. Like I get totally freaked out whenever I try to imagine Cameron or Brown as PM because they are just so bloody annoying.
