You don't need a web host to practice HTML - all you need is a plain text editor and a web browser. For instance, you can use Notepad and Internet Explorer. Write your HTML in Notepad, and view it in IE. You don't need to be online to view local HTML.

Hey you can try HTML just at home. Just type the code in your favourite text editor (mine is notepad) and save the file as .html then use your browser to open the file. It should display everthing fine.
If you are searching for a free webhost, I'd like to suggest the following:
1. www.geocities.com
2. www.freewebs.com
3. www.tripod.com
You may also search the database at www.free-webhosts.com for webhosts that offer specific features.

In order to practice HTML all you have to do is create a place on your own system and use your local browser.
