the child is adopted....therefore the child is entitled to the same rights and privileges as a biological born child. basically....both parents would have a legal claim to the child as they would with a biological child, and the courts would decide custody w/an adopted child just as they would for a biological child.

With an adopted child it is no different then from a biological one here is some info... Well in some cases the Parents get split custodybut in some cases one parent claims custody then only one parent does but also sometimes one parent might get all the custody during the year one parent may gget the custody on holidays... alot of my friends parents are divorced and most of them alternate every 2 weeks or so...Maybe this will help it is a study just out from Stanford University Good Luck!

Because the child is adopted means the child is yours and your wife's so the two of you or the courts will decide on who gets custody but I think that joint is better for your and the child in the long run.

A child is a child adopted or not. If both parents are good with the child they should get a joined custody. Children should not be deprived of a parent just because the two feel they cant be married any more.

An adopted child's custody disposition would probably be decided just as a natural child's would be unless there are mitigating circumstances. In any case the welfare of the child is what is at stake. All details would (hopefully) be taken into careful account.

An adopted child is not any different than biological children. Your spouse and you should decide if you cannot come to an agreement then seek a mediator.

I hope whoever is able to look after the child best? When in doubt, forget that you love yourself best and think about the interest of the child.
