Why not? You're changing everything else, so that should be something very easy to do. Go for it!

I'm a transsexual, so I will try to answer this for you the best I can. If your NAME has been changed to a female name, then under certain circumstances you can use the title of "Ms.". However, just because your NAME has changed doesn't necessarily mean your BIRTH SEX has changed. What this means is that on certain documentation, you cannot put "Ms". Examples would be, like in MY case, I'm a female to male transsexual who has only had the name change, not the surgery, so techncially I have a male name but female genetalia. However, when they gave me my license, they accidentally put "M" on it. I've been using "Mr" and "M" on all kinds of paperwork since. One area I made a mistake doing this. That was putting "M" on my FAFSA application for college financial aid. What ended up happening was they contacted me back and said they couldn't process my application because I had never registered with selective service! (hmm..I wonder why??!) So yeah, I'd say in normal, everyday things that don't directly involve the government or have any direct correlation to your birth sex, I wouldn't worry too much. Just be careful about certain government documents and such, in some cases it could be considered fraud.

I was informed that a credit card can not be re-assigned but cancelled and an application (note:not a transfer) for a new one could use the title. the other issue would be prison, where I beleive your birth gender would be the deciding factor in your title

in both cases my conversations with transgendered people was pre-civil partnership and other alterations to the law.

i either do not put anything in the box for that
if i am using my male name
if I am known as Zara-lee (my real female name) and therefore i am Ms Goodson
i have used this name up untill resantly but Zara-lee is now my legal name and miss is what i use
pronouns are tricky when you are known by people as you old gender
but those that only know you as your new gender use the pronouns corect to that gender
most people know me as Ms Zara it never bothers me what they use as long as they leave me to do as i need

Anyone can use any title they want, as long as it is not on official documentation, then one would have to wait until he has officially changed his name legally to be able to use "Ms."
