Can age gap relationships work?

Of course they can. They always have and they always will. Age gap has nothing to do with how well two people connect, and how well things will work out. Age should never be an issue when it comes to two people connecting and loving each other. It's just a number, it doesn't mean anything more than that.

IT can be tough having a gap in ages but it can also give each other an advantage if the gap is great. I have dated women older and younger than myslef and I find it refreshing having things to talk about and interests that follow our age groups.
IF you are still watching re-runs of Gilligans island and know the theme song off by heart and your new partner doesnt it can be fun to explain the show and why it was so great.

Yes!! there is a 8 year gap in mine, and we get on very well.
If the age gap was 50 years....now that would just be weird!

I suppose it all depends on the people in question. My partner of 7 years is 6 years older than me and we get on really well and dont notice the age difference but my mother for instance has just divorced my stepfather as he was 12 years older and although they had been together 14 years as they have got older the age gap has been more noticable. He was ready to retire to a quiet life whilst my mother still wanted to have fun.

whether a relationship can work has little if anything to do with the age gap
if you're worried about the age gap in your relationship, then you have a problem before you start

it's the people involved in the relationship that make or break it, not their age

look at your partner, not his/her birth certificate

It depends... my cousin was 41 when he started living with a 21.. but he is very athletic and takes wonderful care of his health. She was slighted obese, and she was the one who could not put up with him on several aspects...Anyway I was 30 when I married a 50 and there were some problems as he was heavy smoker and he was on his decline curve on some matters on which my curve was ascending... I say think about physical limitations that may raise from aging (and have nothing to do with love) and see if your love (or the other persons love) can overcome such issues? In my case we found ways of overcoming the problems with dialogue.
After all, I knew what I was doing when I married him.

Life is short and not predictable. Age is not the major factor in any relationship, but happiness is. It is society that makes the rules and it does not follow that they are always correct correct. Enjoy life and enjoy your relationship. Ignore what is the 'done thing'. Be happy.

yes it would because for me and my partner we are only seven years apart and planning on getting marry soon and the more we apart we can see how much it means to get together and come to term that love is something we need to work harder to get together, since our love is distance is something we never wanted happen but it so, the gap is something we have to accpect as well
