FOOTball indicates the use of the FOOT. So the US, with the usual intellectual agilty of a malnourished carrot, decided to call a game played with the hands, American Football, so we can all laugh at their stupidity!!! HA HA HA HA HA HA HA

To andyoptic. If you postion your 7 carefully other driver's don't present a problem. Read "Roadcraft, A Police Driver's Manual" or seek the services of John Lyon at HPC in the UK, or similar....It's dynamics also make the 7 one of the safest cars in the world to drive!!

They can't bare the thoughts that someone outside the USa does things better than them. And Americans, the real football is the one played with the FEET. The one invented in UK. In Europe.
I have no idea why they like oval racing over F1, which is a proper motorsport. The pinnacle of motorsport.

I may be American, but all American auto racing is not NASCAR! I happen to love open-wheel racing, namely Champ Cars and the IRL (to a lesser extent). Formula One racing is amazing, and so is the technology, but the plain, honest, unvarnished truth of the matter is that most of the F1 drivers and teams tend to come off as elitist snobs, whether or not that's the actual truth. From what I have seen, NASCAR drivers not only have the fierce competitiveness of all racers, but are friendly and open with fans, and overall have a very likeable nature.
With that being said, I still prefer open-wheel racing, whether it's Champ, IRL or F1!

Honestly, I'm American and probably have one of the biggest egos here.
As for not liking F1 here, most people like NASCAR because it's something familiar. It started with stock cars, something we can relate to. Drivers in NASCAR, are, for the most part, more open and approachable. They are the embodiment of the average American.
I'd also like to point out a fact. Most drivers are not from the former confederacy anymore, as much as the "elitists" don't want to admit it.
My question is - if you hate NASCAR, why do you bash it so much? If I really hate something, I tend to leave it alone unless I am giving my opinion in a forum, just as I am now. I won't start a thread bashing F1 because I don't like it. That's also because I also understand something else - everyone who likes racing may like a different type of racing, and that is their thing.

Why do you care? Let nascar be a purely american motorsport... I can guarantee that no person out at the track every weekend or sitting in their living room faithfully watching on T.V. gives a flying F*** about what everyone else thinks of it. And what does your question have to do with EGOS?! Why can't YOU accept that throughout America the majority have rejected F1?! Grow up, and stop trying to stir upcrap on the internet...

I personally love F1 over NASCAR any day. Not ALL Americans are right-wing Christian rednecks, you know.
So if football (or futbol if you like) should be played with the foot, is rugby played with rugs?
