My vote goes to Steve Nash becoming only the second player to win three consecutive MVP awards. As for the eventual NBA champions, I see the Mavericks winning it all despite a rocky start.
Lastly, I feel that the most improved team this year would be the New Orleans/Oklahoma City Hornets. I believe that they will make the playoffs this year.

Chicago has the most depth and as the year goes on they're only going to get hotter. Their shooting guard situation needs the only improvement, but if Ben Gordon is able to become a night in night out player and average 20+ points for the Bulls--they should have no problem in the playoffs and against the western conference champ.

Dirk, Dallas and the most improved team of the ones you listed I would say New Orleans in the NBA I would say Chicago I pick them to win the Eastern Conference.
