Take a book, all three of you read it and compile a book report on it giving each of you, your own outlooks on it. For example if you do a political thriller, one looks at it from the political side, one the military side and one the civilian side. If you do a Science Fiction book, look at it from three different ways with each giving a report on it from a diff rent view point. Come up with ideas no one else in you class would think of. This will impress your teacher.

Pick a topic that has had alot of airplay in the media recently - say global warming, or nuclear energy. Research the pros and cons / truth and lies on the topic, then grab your video camera.

Each of you interview another student not from your class, get their opinion on the issue and have them justify it. present them verbally with your research ie. "What if I told you that most scientists think that the globe is heating up at a rate of x% per year" and record their response. It would look best if your research was persuasive enough to convince a person to change their opinion.

This idea takes the following ideas from the English curriculum:
* Issues studies
* Research and Analysis (Analytical skills)
* Debating / Constructive Language
* Oral and Aural skills development

also, as it is not a production, rather a 60 minutes/ 50/50 style current affairs news topic, it is valid, easilly split into threes and able to be marked independently relatively easily, yet compiles well into a group topic.

Or else you could just do a boring slide show.

"How do they GET it in combination earlier than they may be able to KEEP it in combination?" I understand a homeless younger guy. He obtained 20 hours paintings (reputable, tax-deducting). His locker with few possessions is over right here (however inaccessible specified hours). Way over there, for the period of specified hours/days simplest, is the bathe. Then at exclusive instances, days, areas, are a meal. Sleep? An out of the best way bench, a virtually personal doorway... Coordinating duties (doing laundry, identifying up meals or settling authorized issues) generally is a enormous difficulty. By the best way, authorized issues beset the the category of homeless as, now not having a residence, many times they are ultimately in the best way ample to get in a few variety of quandary - public nuisance, tresspassing, loitering. Bicycling in every single place is an arduous necessity. Coordinating existence's elementary requisites involves sabotage and misfortune at many turns, but nonetheless one need to press on and now not be beaten by means of discouragement. If one reveals paintings and does not desire to permit on one is homeless, attempt to think the mission that offers. Best wants for your paper, I understand it's going to be best.

What about a short video where you take turns interviewing each other....prep is English writing scripts, storyboarding your script then the final presentation. You could create a serious short film or something that looks at an issue but with humor...just be respectful and be yourself.
