Sometimes it takes longer than 3 days to cycle a tank. It also depends on the size how long it takes. Give it more time. If you know someone who already has an established/cycled tank, ask/see if you can take some "cycled" water from them to add to your tank.

I recently upgraded my tank and I had that problem. The thing that seemed to fix it was an undergravel filter. I don't know why. I tried water changes and I even re-cycled my tank, cleaning the gravel again. None of that worked until I put in the undergravel filter.

Hope that helps

Get a water filter and stuff to fight algae or you can get a algae eater its a fish that loves algae.
