Police now use psychological profiling to help them catch criminals. But can I ask what would be the psychological profile of a prostitute. No seriously I just wonder what "type" of person could hire there body for sex with a complete stranger regardless of looks, Just for money.

I would answer: a desperate person, a person with less respect for their body than the average person, a weak person who thinks prostitution represents easy money. And a stupid person, as one is risking one's life to be in such an intimate situation with a stranger, who might well be a murderer or carrier of disease.
I would not condemn every prostitute as I feel sure some think it is the ONLY way they can survive, but I do wonder why they think that. Is it a low IQ? Or low self-esteem? Or very low sensitivity?
I am the opposite to a prostitute, I could not even bear a stranger to give me a massage! But that's MY hang-up!

Probably because they are human and have a drive for survival - some people turn to crime to make a living to keep them alive because they don't get the same chances as the rest of us (or when they do get the chance they pass it by/turn it down)

You ask 99.9% of prostitutes why they do it - I bet none of them do it because they like sex !

I think you are judging to soon - read up on first before you start posting things like:-

"No seriously I just wonder what "type" of person could hire there body for sex"

People with no other choice and are in a bad situation - people who are fearing for their lives when their Pimp says "go to work or I will kill you" or when they are told their drug addiction will not be fed if they don't go on the street.

I study criminology (nicely attempt to), my guesss will be that with the exception of being a copycat killer, he probable has had many sexual encounters with prostitutes earlier and had some undesirable reviews yet maximum persons of serial killers are psychopaths so he could actually have almost some thing operating round in his concepts. putting forward that, he's of course a brainy chap, lots of money (so of course a nicely paid interest) he's an organised killer as interestingly looks to understand what he's doing. with somewhat of tremendous fortune he will vacation up and depart an illustration for the law enforcement officials to capture him.

I think women who sleep with men for money think it is their only option many are hooked on drugs (normally first given to them by pimps to keep them working)
Or others are just normal women who have a family and are desperate to put money on the table.
Im sure they dont enjoy doing this but may feel like the only thing they have to sell for money they desperately need is their body, Sad but true.
I certainly wouldn't call them criminals!!

The real prostitutes are the women who sleep with dying rich old men to grab their money when the die, they have no need to sleep with these men they are just gold diggers who would do anything to be rich, a far cry from the poor girls you see working on the streets.

Someone who needed the money. It doesn't take much working out, really. Many are drug addicts and perhaps the drugs help them to cope with what they have to do. I think you are romanticising prostitution, trying to make it some kind of psychological quirk. If it were, then people like Paris Hilton would be walking the streets. But rich women don't do it, although they may have done so to become rich, they stop as soon as they can.

It's actually a boring, mind numbing job, believe me. But it's not the only unpleasant thing people do for money.

What about Estate Agents ? They hire themselves and their bodies out to sell houses which don't belong to them to complete strangers, and they lie to buyers and sellers about everything. Just for money.

What about chiropodists, who deal with people's smelly old feet, just for money ?

What about call centre louts, who ring people at home in the evenings when they are having dinner, trying to sell them some rubbish they don't want. Just for money.

What about bailliffs who throw families out of their homes. Just for money.

Loads of people do unpleasant jobs for loads of reasons. But mostly, it's - yes - just for money!

I currently live in a city where prostitution is legal. I don't know what would drive someone to do it legally, but I would say one factor that would drive a woman to it illegally would be poverty and economic pressure - also low self-esteem - thinking she's not good enough for anything else.

Turn it around and ask what sort of person would PAY a complete stranger for sex.
I think you'll probably find plenty of people judged normal by society.

People with low self-esteem, who had a miserable upbringing or who are forced into the profession through depravation, greed and need.

Well why do people do anything?
Maybe they got hooked on drugs and weren't able to keep a steady job, so they sell their body to feed their addiction?

Or maybe they were abused as a child and they are emotional mested up which led to prostitution.

Or maybe they got involved with a pimp and can't get away.

Who knows...but sometimes we shouldn't be so quick to judge.
