Water pressure gets higher the deeper one goes in the ocean. At the bottom of the Mariana Trench in the Pacific Ocean, the pressure is approximately 100 million pascals, or, almost 1000 times more pressure (atmospheric pressure) than we feel at sea level.

These huge pressures would collapse a vessel which was made in the shape of, say, a box. You can imagine this if you think about how easy it is to collapse a box compared to collapsing a spherical object like a ball made of the same material.

A sphere in deep water distributes the compressive pressure evenly over its surface. The shear forces are also evenly distributed. If the vessel were not spherical, the shear forces would be very high at the corners.

In biology, egg laying animals have evolved to lay eggs which are nearly spherical so that the pressure exerted by the mother's weight will be evenly distributed over the egg shell, producing an egg which is harder to break than other designs would be.

Hope this helps!

Stress due to pressure is uniformly distributed in case of a sphere which is what you want because you do not want any part of your vessel having to put up with extra stress. With other shapes, you do not get a uniform distribution. When distribution is not uniform, the points where stress is higher could rupture.

If the water's surface is not flat, then the light will be bent into a new path. This round shape will bend the light outwards and as it spreads out, the image you see gets larger.

so you get why sphere is used. more round more magnification.

no depend if that's accelerating due north, then the _sum_ of the exterior forces upon that's one newton due north. The exterior stress f is greater than one newton because of the fact it has to oppose the friction of the block because it strikes over a coarse floor, yet we don't comprehend how lots better because of the fact the coefficient of friction isn't particular.
