Sure it can be welded. Many are.

Your best bet however is to swap it for a rebuilt head (do both sides). A stock 305 head is probably the cheapest you can buy, there are tons of them available.

If you are asking can this be done while on the car, well it could, but it would be tricky, and probably not a good idea. To weld cast iron, you need to pre-heat, weld, then control the cool-down. It's not rocket science, but must be done correctly.

No. With the pressers and constant temperature changes the head continually is put under a repair would not last. Your work and gaskets would be wasted. It needs replacing.

Yes, But you'll need to take it to a welding shop that can weld cast iron and aluminum.

yes you can weld it, but it will never hold. also if its cracked between cylinders you can forget it, if its cracked in the water jackets youre screwed. take 50 bucks and purchase another head.

if its not welded by a professional the crack will get worse. scrap the head and get a new set!!!!!!
