my definition of an arsehole - talking loudly or smoking on buses, taking it out on random strangers in the street because they are different, stealing, vandalism and graffiti (im sure its part of a trend because they all dress the same, hang together and you can spot them a mile off)

I believe you are referring to "Chavs" in general ?!
The sort of people who stab innocent people on trains and end up with 21 yrs?
The sort of people who mug and even rape old ladies?
The sort of people who hang in packs like animals a resort to animal mentality due to being in said packs?
People who give the excuse "I was pi55ed" when I get them (14 yr old) cornered on their own without the rest of their herd and ask the simple question "Why did you punch my girlfriend (26 yr old) on Saturday night?"
The same people who, when they aren't in there above mentioned groups and do get cornered they are nothing but cowards who actually wet their pants when they are on the receiving end of an intimidating angry boyfriend who finds the sate of this sorry country absolutely disgusting !
Those are the above mentioned arseholes !

its not fashionable... just ignorant and anti social.... its just spoilt little kids thinking they are being big and "hard"... pathetic really, i blame their parents for not giving them some decent discipline.. i think it might be a good idea, that the government mentioned.... keeping them in school (treating them as children) off the streets, until they are at least 18.... i dont know, they might even learn something in their extra 2 years........... but probably not....

Gang mentality - ever noticed that these people are always in big groups? They do it to show off to their mates. Get one on his own and he likely won't bother you.

i think it's always been like that.
some people think that it's cool to have that bad boy (girl) image.
it's usually young guys but not always. most of them grow out of it. the rest end up in jail.
