You can buy fish food that is in a form of a cube. You drop it in and it slowly dissolve everyday for the fishes to eat.

Its specially design for people going on holiday. It quite cheap too, try your aquarium shop

Well there are vacation feeders and thing, but most are more trouble than they are worth. 3 days isn't a big deal, but more than that is a bit risky. If it's under 3 days just clean the tank before your last feeding.

Note that this really depends on the fish. Bettas will easily last a week. Other fish will start eating their tank mates in 4-5 days.

Go to your local pet store, or anywhere that carries pet supplies. They have slow release feeders you can buy. They put the fish food into something that dissolves slowly over time and releases the food as it does. You can find ones for like 3 days or 7 days in most places. It's what I used when I went on vacation. The tank was still clean, the fish still alive and there was still some food left.

Just do a water change before you go. Your fish will be fine.
I go on vacation for 7 days at a time, and my fish are always fine.
fish feeders and vacation tablets are just money-suckers that dirty the tank while you aren't there to keep an eye on things.

Fish are cold-blooded animals. They can go weeks without food. It would take a previously well-fed fish about 2 months to die of starvation.
In fact, the easiest way to kill your fish is to overfeed it, and that is as easy as following the directions on the fish food!
Very few fish need to be fed more than once a day.

If it is only for a few days then you do not have to do anything. Make sure you do small water change before you leave. Food will not be a problem for your fish if you are going to be away for less than 15-20 days.

2-3 days away will not be a problem with a small aquarium. it will take longer than that to starve them. Do not give them any extra food before you go away. this extra food will rot at the bottom and could potentially kill the fish.

They have automatic feeders and food in cubes for when people go on vacation. I believe you can get either one fairly cheap at Petsmart
