It's a short lived joy.
Depends also on what kind of person you are.
I think if you are a hateful and mean person, then you would enjoy this to the fullest extent.
However, if you are the type of person that prefers no conflict but you get angry anyway and get revenge, then you won't enjoy it as much or as long.
It's bad karma to do things like this to other people. What goes around comes around.
In my experience, God doesn't like 'ugly'. He takes care of things like this. It may not be when I want it to be done, but eventually, it is taken care of.

I never did revenge and I'm not able to exactly say why- I guess I always considered it best left to karma, or Fate, or God. That I have operated this way has proven invariably to be a good thing: the person always got, at the end of the day, what he/she had coming and it seemed a much better job than I could ever do. For me to take such matters into my hands has seemed too easy also. I just leave it up to the Big Guy- that's His department...

At the end of a "successful" revenge mission, if you were to strip off the disguise revenge wears, you would feel lower than the slug in the flower garden. Time will usher you into this fact.

Revenge is bittersweet, but from experience I'd say it's definitely more bitter than sweet. I actually prefer to be wronged and let fate take its natural course in evening the score one day (which it inevitably will, as God never lets anyone get away with a bad deed), than get my own revenge and then feel as bad as the person who'd once hurt me.

First of all, there is no success in revenge. Success or happiness in revenge is an illusion. It only brings suffering. If one goes for revenge he has already lost against his mind.

I don't like revenge but what I want is just. Karma - cause and effect, you done something bad then the result is bad. Okay this bully teacher in school he keeps making noisy arrogantly he doesn't care if Ever one else is having class,I warned his friend to tell him to be quiet during class hour or else.... But she didn't so again I ask him to be quiet but he said "why are you the owner you f*ck*ng ash*le!?" So without warning I send a text message to the supervisor, so he wasn't noisy anymore when he pass by or stop by the class he was too afraid to make any noise because he doesn't want to get fired. I rarely see him these days

Revenge feeds on hate or in milder cases on grudges we nurse to the extent that we want to get even. Thus, in nursing such grudges, we are always thinking of trying to get even. Why, then, do we not choose another path, that of letting go such negative feelings and get on with life. Moreover, the sense of forgiving someone will in most instances fill us with positive feelings.
If someone cheats me once, shame on him. If the person cheats me twice, shame on me. Always be magnanimous, and there will always be feeling of well-being. We live for ourselves, and let not the actions of others dictate how we should live. Therefore, when someone does me wrong, it should not dictate my actions - to try to exact vengeance.
The world should be a better place for everyone of us, if we can just learn not to get even for what we perceive to be injustices done to us.

Both. Revenge is to avenge a previous wrong done to you. It is a dilemma. If someone stole my car then I cannot see the problem in stealing their car in return.

I think it would depend on whether or not the person who got revenge had a conscience.
