I look for the red lights on the bottom. At least with this one. If you move it just a little bit the light comes on. On the one I use at work I have to jiggle it sometimes to see where it landed on the screen. Sometimes I don't move it and it ends up on the other side of the screen. Crazy mouse.

Jiggle it and if there is no response I usually bang it on the mouse pad in disgust!

No - I open the office door and send in the Cat. That mouse gets a move on then and I am ready to go by the time I get to my chair.

at first I jiggle it then when its awake I slap it to get it moving faster
