They will cover their heads and pretend it didn't happen. Then they will whine and cry and say how mean G. Bush is. Then they will do what they are best at throw money at the problem. If these things don't work they will cut and run. I don't trust Dem's with national security or my money.

The democrats would have to approve an invasion of Iran and after their criticism of the Iraq war I don't think they will. The democrats pretty much got the anti-war votes so its unlikely they'd back a war at least until after the 2008 presidential elections. If anything I think the US will go after Central/South America (ie. Chavez and Venezuela) or North Korea first. It is unlikely with a new party in control of the House and the Senate that much will get done in the American gov't in the next two years. The biggest damage will come from Bush having permission to fast track trade deals.

The Democrats are certain to oppose any attack on Iran unless there's a very imminent threat. They were just elected mainly because of their anti-Iraq war stance.

Further, the Democrats in Congress have the power to stop any unilateral action against Iran by Bush. Bush does not want to anger them right now. They will soon control the Congressional committees that can investigate his administration's prior misdeeds.
