It's so hard isn't it!!!? i've been there girlie! If you're pear shaped (small waist, big bum) get a really sharply tailored jacket that cinches in at the waist and a pair of wide leg trousers, preferably in vertical pinstripes to elongated and slim you. If you've got great legs, but a fuller waist, stay away from a very structured jacket but get a great skirt. i particularly love a skirt that is tailored to fit at the hips and thighs and then kick out slightly jsut above the knee as it helps balance out your shape (so you don't look big on top and teeny on the bottom). Unfortunately the only way to really know is to try on everything that you like and bring a ruthless friend/family member who'll tell you exactly how you look. for the top under the suit stick to v-neck type necklines, and keep it sleek and as non-bulky as possible. Good luck.... it's not easy!!!

The main thing is to make sure they fit, no gapping no tight fitting. Skirts which skim the hips and end length-wise just on the knee are great. Jackets should not be double-breasted. If she is tall then longer jackets which end just below the bum or if she is short, shorter jackets which flare out from the waist are good. Stick to plain colours (doesn't just have to be black, dark red, and dark green are good too). Try to avoid patterned fabrics. Try to go for natural materials such as lambswool and cotton and avoid polyester as it just looks "cheap". Wear a coloured top underneath if it is a dark suit or white if it is a coloured suit. Try to look for a v-neck shape on the top as roll-necks and round necks only emphasise a larger bosom. Distract from bottom heavy by wearing nice earrings/necklace and distract from top heavy by having less detail on the jacket and maybe some stylish boots or heels. Heels always make legs look longer. Wear skin coloured tights or now that it's winter black opaque ones but never with a pattern on.

I heard that people with fuller figures look good in tailored suits.

V necks and wrap arounds is good as lady above me said. Long skirts are good, fishtail especially just make sure they dont only show your feet because this looks silly. Ladies jackets that curve round hence making you look far more curvy. Bootleg or flare like trousers make the bottom of your legs look bigger to stop the top of your legs looking bigger.

Dresses over trousers look good too as long as they are v necked or wrap dresses

I would suggest you to consult professional hair stylists. I know a website where lots of hair stylists have created their accounts and added their work examples in it. So you may find some ideas among example pictures or you may consult the stylist you wish. Its for free.

Do not wear a wrap-a-around Jacket, that is not the style for your build. Here are 15 Sensible Jacket Designs:

For the Skirts, it depends on your hips and your height, I would guess you probably already know, what style looks best on you.

I think that wrap round dresses are a really good look, and lower v-necks with accessorises.

a v neck line if you are also big on top, nothing that gatters around your buttocks, as this will make it look larger. stick to dark colours as this make u apear thinner. dont wear shirts or tops that may rise up. wear a decent bra, that will lift you. wear under wear that fits, knicker lines are very unflattering.

I own a black baby doll top that has a square neck. and I think they look great on big girls . Especially with fitted jeans. Not to big and definitely not too small.
Hope that helps
