In my opinion, Americans do not "want" to find Osama just to keep a problem 'alive' & justify their presence in the sub-continent. If they can catch Saddam Hussain within few days, then finding Osama from NWFP is no big deal. Problems like Kashmir & Pelestine are similar examples which have been kept alive by the politicians so that they go down into history as great leaders.

Osama is a pretty intelligent guy, this with the fact american has poor intelligence gathering measure in that part of the world due to the fact that the people Osama assoicated with (with includes contacts in pakistan) do not share that information.
There will be barely 6 people in the world at the moment who know where Osama Bin Laden is at this moment, or any moment. You have to realise that.
Osama, 1 or 2 guards, and maybe someone operating a safe house.

Americans do not want to find osama bin laden.because the bush family.made shed loads of money from the bin laden family.and half of geog re bush cabinet made loads of money too.that's why after 9/11 the only flights out of America.was to fly the bin ladens back to Saudi.before any one could ask then any questions.so all they want to do is to kill osama bin laden. before the America public find out whats been going on between the bush family and the bin laden family for years

Because Osama Bin Laden is no more now or he may have changed his face (used plastic surgery to change the face) , how can america find that.... It is very difficult to find that. Osama is currently staying in the guest lodge at the president's ranch. He likes to have Laura's blueberry muffins every morning and is very keen for her special blend coffee. They shoot the breeze about philosophy and women's literature. It is all very cozy.
