In a good relationship you try to be on the same page on important issues. How important is marriage to you. Are you afraid his reluctance is because he isn't committed to you and marriage shows he is? Forcing him will only show he gave in. Did his parents have a bad marriage so left a bad taste in his mouth? You may have a better relationship now than you will after guilting him into a marriage. If children aren't involved that helps. Of course, a woman who wants to be married will lose interest in a man who doesn't want it. He should know this and weigh the risks of losing you.

I'm guessing that you want to get married at some point. I had this situation with my boyfriend and you have to talk about the reasons he doesnt want to get married and the reasons you do. Listen to each other point of view. I understood my boyfriends and we have decided to leave marriage for a few years then get married. But if it is worth you getting married you wont mind waiting. and if it really does cause problems between you maybe you two arent actually that well suited. hope that helped

As for your answer if he never whats to marry and you not okay with it kick his *** all the way to the curve and start a new life with hope of marriage. if you want to get married well then you need to find someone who will. does he just mean he will be your partner for life without the marriage? or he doesnt want your relationship to go anywhere coz then theres no point. if he just doesnt want to get married, i dont see the problem as long as your happy together. a marriage is a piece of paper and the wedding day is a party to celebreate your love. but you will find also that the longer he is with you, he may change his mind anyway
