Frankly speaking if you are not a patient of INSOMNIA, for which you only have to consult doctor, the problem lies with your daily routine. Since you have not told any thing about your routine the answers you receive will be based on conjectures and surmises. Anyway, I am also adding a few tips to help you out :
1. Wake up early in the morning.
2. Do some excercise regularly.
3. Nurture habit of reading good books -- But beware don't read any fiction, thriller , horror or suspense novels at your bed time, otherwise this will agravate your problem.
4. Start doing meditation without fail.
5. Check your meals -- it should not be too spicy and oily.
6. Check your meal times.
7. Never drink tea or coffee at night.
8 Light exercise before going to bed will be most effective.
9. Don't watch TV after 8.30 PM
10. If you can have a bath before sleep.
11. Take one glass milk at night -- but not so hot.
12. Paint the walls of your bedroom with some light colour, curtains should also be light coloured.
13. You can also seek the help from light classical or devotional music with low volume. So Good night.

You don't say what time you get up but try getting up earlier.
Have a hot, milky drink just before bed.
Some people find a hot bath before bed helps.
Try doing more exercise during the day / early evening, no later, this will tire you out.
Lavender is meant to help with sleep, the bonus is it smells lovely.
Don't eat a heavy meal in the evening or if you must, eat early.

Try everything others have said and if they do not do the trick, miss sleep for one night and do not sleep the next day until the time you want to go to bed. You may have to try it once or twice and you will be exhausted and very sleepy for a week but then your body clock will get used to the new time. You will miss three nights sleep though.

Well! another sleepless person. After the night meals, please take a walk for 10 minutes. Come back home, sit on the bed and do breathing exercise and meditation each 5 minutes. Take a hot cup of milk with the cocoa.
When you sleep your head should be on the south and east direction. North and West would create magneitic disturbance.
There should not be any mirron behind your head. The bed should not touch the wall.

Insomnia (sleeplessness) is due to stress, dietary and medical
problems. By making small lifestyle changes like having a fixed
daily routine, relaxing and eating properly, insomnia can be
cured. I found the information at http://tinyurl.com/jfzpz useful
for getting sleep.
