My sister has not been able to get online for a week. "IT" her computer won't connect to the internet or find the C~drive. Any laymans terms for what the problem/problems may be? I am going over to see what I can do,any information on what could be causing this problem would be most helpful. Thank you in advance ~A~

Sorry it is not clear I am getting this second hand I have no idea how they get it to run without Cdrive. My sister is less computer literate than I and that is not saying much. lol I wonder if a virus could do this, they download games often.

Thanks everyone I will go over tomorrow and try these things out. Hoping a reformating will not be neeeded how I hate doing that. I will post my results before I pick best answer. You are the best!

The hard drive might've dislocated itself. Try to open it from the back and clean it, re-plug it and it'll work hopefully.
This is no big issue.

Is there a separate plug for the mic area of your headset by ability of any hazard? Did it contain a motive force? because of the fact this is not being known, I truthfully have a feeling you're lacking yet another twine (that would go into the mic jack) or a motive force...... hmmmmm

wihtout finding the C drive how does the system boot.
may be some one has uninstalled the interenet explorer

Your IE is maybe damaged .
This is better that you install a new windows .
