Hmm I would like to experience the 50's and 60's. Less things were worried about, children were able to play outside with no worries of gunshots, kidnappings, murders, people knew each other.
But in another way I wouldn't like to live there my entire life, especially since than a lot of people didn't accept different races like today and plus technology has come a long way especially in the medical field. Can you imagine having cancer in the 50's? Can you even imagine having any type of surgery at all? I would be freaked out just thinking about how they cured people of any medical and mental problems.

I would like to expirence both.
The 50's like Rocker Dude said: 50's Life was simpler, less crime, marriage and families meant something back then, so I've been told.
Plus, Elvis Rocks!
Very good points and I agree.
The 60's I would like to expierience not because of the hippies, but the life of the soldiers.

Both. My older brother was born in 1950 so he grew up in the 50's and came of age in the 60's. His biggest mistake was turning down a chance to go to a concert. He missed out on Woodstock. The best thing he missed out on was the draft. He could have ended up in Vietnam.

Yeah, the 60's I would live to be the easy carefree hippe girl, life is so serious now I guess I was meant to be here in this time but if I could pick one day. Woodstock all the way. My dad tells me stories all the time and I think it would have been awesome to be there.

definitely not, I live in India and I belong to a sheduled caste(most inferior caste)..and we are the people subject to untouchability...
In the 50s and 60s ,we(I mean our community) were in a miserable state facing all kinda oppression...from all quarters, but the scenario has changed a lot today..with the government having the reservstion policy and people respecting us..I prfer the present day life

Sure it would be cool to have a boyfriend named Johnny and wear bobby socks lol And those poodle dog skirts and tight sweaters. Going to the soc hop and the music to rock out to like Elvis & Jerry Lee Lewis. And I like those little car hops. And to have a family like the one in Happy Days!! awesome

i think i would like the 60's.....ive always loved happy days....very wholesome time where they didnt have the same worries and crimes that we are experiencing now...a safer environment for children to grow up in and hey the kids even played out in the street....to not have the concerns that we face today as parents would be great....
