Deanna Durbin was born on the 4th December 1921.
She retired from public life in 1950 after her marriage to Charles David who had directed her in the film "Lady on a Train."
The couple moved to Paris with Durbin vowing that she would never return to show business.She has resisted numerous offers to perform and has granted only one brief interview in 1983 to film historian David Shipman.
Her husband died in Paris ion March 1st 1999.

As far as I know, she's still alive and living in France. She'd be in her 80s and probably isn't singing too well.
