Line up a new job first, then approach your boss and tell him/her that you have been offered a position on better money. They will either say to take it or they may try to offer you more to stay. Either way you have a job after you walk out of the office, and who knows, if they offer you more money you may find you like the job you have now because the money is worthwhile and you don,t need to change. Also if they come up with more money tell the people at your new job. They may come up with more again to try and grab you for your experience.

This is the employment game.

Good luck playing.

depends on the job. email your mgr and say u want to talk about your role... ive quit 2 jobs via email... party because one was a national company w/ my mgr in another state... so that was the best way. the othe rplace, my mgr was busy all day, every day - so it was the only way to commuicate with him. then i had to have phone calls / face to face - but i feel like its easier to just get it out over email. it is also "in writing" this way - which is what they require anyway ultimately. you can just print out the email. also BE NICE - you never know when you'll run into these people again.

i have no idea what kind of job you are in though.

yeah give the option of staying 2 weeks, though thye might let you out that week.

give them a 2 week notice... you can say you're leaving because of school.. or leaving because you're getting a better opportunity somewhere else... don't be afraid to quit.. you're not a slave they don't own you.... goodluck i know what it feels like.. it's weird but i always said i was leaving because of school.. you can always say you're moving away .... or "personal reasons" which means " don't ask me because i'm not telling you why i'm giving you my 2 week notice" ... but yea 2 weeks notice.. try not to walk away or never show up.. it's not good and if you want to apply at another job they'll probably call this one.. so just be careful think twice before doing something!

Check with your contract and see how much notice you have to give. Write out your notice and hand it in. Easy. If you dont give your required notice then some companys dont have to pay you any money owed. So do it on the proper grounds and everything should be fine.

Turn in a letter of resignation giving a 2 week notice so they have time to hire someone else, and you leave in good standing

Before quitting... think of the fallback..... like where are you going after quitting your job..... but if you have really decide you're quitting..... go to your boss and say give your resignation letter..... then say this in front of him/her "I QUIT"!!!! Then you go out of his/ her office heads up!!!! i have tried it already..... so dramatic!!!
