Years ago I heard that Jack Palance died during the making of City Slickers 2. I also heard that they had to piece together his scenes with a mixture of CGI images and test shots and had the end of the film re-written to make up for the lack of footage. Does anybody know what's the real story?

I think you may be confusing City Slickers II with another comedy western from 1994, Wagons East, during the making of which John Candy died. His scenes had to be completed by doubles and other effects.

I don't know about dying twice, but City Slickers 2 was filmed in 1994 and Palance won the Oscar for Best Supporting Actor. The 72 year old actor dropped to the floor did a set of one-arm push-ups, so I doubt he was very ill at the time. Perhaps he had to take some personal time from the film for his son, who died of melanoma in '98.

His real name was Valdamir Palaniuk and he did die on Friday, 11/10/2006.

you're purely complicated videos with truth. The *personality* he performed on the city Slickers died purely formerly city Slickers II -- that replaced into area of the tale of the movie. besides the undeniable fact that the actor who performed that personality did not die until eventually the different day.

I heard that he had become too ill to continue filming during City Slickers 2 and that his remaining scenes had been edited accordingly.

I don't think it's possible to die twice, is it? (Unless you're a comedian doing the North East club circuit that is!)
